Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support our DS Sector Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role is ideal for someone early in their finance career who is eager to gain experience in finance, forecasting and financial systems. You'll assist with monthly forecasts, the annual operating plan, treasury forecasting and the maintenance of planning tool attributes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting in preparing monthly financial forecasts by gathering, reviewing, and consolidation data from multiple departments
• Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) through consolidation and data validation
• Consolidate the Treasury forecast and validate against planning tool
• Conduct data validation and assist in managing attribute reviews in planning tool and planning node mappings
• Analyze trends and variances to support business insights
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across reports and systems
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and documentation of FP&A procedures
• Support ad hoc data analysis and team requests as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree. Will consider: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline with 2 years of related experience, or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline with 0 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas)
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Must be able to work onsite in McLean, VA

• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
