What do we need:
Are you passionate about working with innovative and high-quality supplement products that improve the health and wellbeing of consumers around the world? We are seeking a nutrition formulation talent, who will collaborate with a highly cross functional team to deliver formulation support for our existing nutrition portfolio. This individual will support all internally produced products offering technical support from our raw materials, through a lifecycle of finished goods production. A primary area of focus in this role involves supply continuity, offering analysis and solutions for issues that risk interrupting our product supply. This includes quality issues, regulatory changes that require reformulation, or manufacturing issues that involve troubleshooting support to maintain supply continuity.

The Nutrition Quality Engineering group is a dynamic team of over 20 engineers across two Amway sites (Ada, Michigan and Buena Park, California). The team works in a fast-paced environment supporting internal and external manufacturing sites to ensure quality product is produced and supplied to our customers. Our team works heavily with cross functional partners such as engineering, product development, planning, suppliers, and manufacturing to prevent and address product quality issues. Our team also works with our global QA counterparts in over 10 markets across many countries. This is a talented team with deep expertise that one can learn from and build skills and competencies that promote personal and professional growth.
Required qualifications:
- BS degree (MS desired) in chemical engineering, food or pharma science or closely related discipline
- Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in nutrition, food, or pharma industry working with product formulation
Skills to be successful in the role:
- Ability to develop solutions for technical formulation challenges
- Exposures in product formats such as tablets, capsules, soft gels, etc.
- Talent to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to effectively and efficiently resolve issues
- Experience with data analysis, statistical techniques, and problem solving
- Comfort with lab equipment, knowledge of manufacturing equipment, and formulation talent
