Job DescriptionAs a Hogan Engineer (Level IV), you will be responsible for hands-on development, testing, and application design in core banking modernization efforts. You will work closely with engineering managers and other technical staff to support the Hogan application suite, contributing to both new development and enhancement of existing systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform coding, unit testing, and IT/UAT testing of peer-developed code
- Execute code migration, design, and implementation tasks
- Develop and enhance front-end support methodologies for Business Analysts
- Design, install, test, and document complex application software
- Contribute to technical architecture and solution delivery
- Monitor and verify conversions and batch processes
- Support software development lifecycle and implementation methodologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve Hogan application issues, including online and batch abends
- Hogan Application Expertise:
- Hogan Deposits (DDA & TDA)
- Hogan RPM, CIS, Umbrella, PAS, ODS, CAMS
- Hogan process dictionary components and PCDs
- Hogan Umbrella, PEM, CDMF, Librarian, Logical Environments
- Mainframe Development Skills:
- COBOL II, VSAM, JCL
- CICS/VSAM and/or IMS/DB2
- Easytrieve, SORT Utilities, ICTOOL
- Mainframe Tools:
- Expeditor, Endeavor and/or Changeman
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in Hogan CIS, Deposits, and/or CAMS
- Proven experience in conversions, development, or implementation of Hogan releases
- Soft Skills:
- Strong logical and analytical thinking (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior problem-solving capabilities
- Rounds: 1
- Format: Video (camera on)
- Participants: Engineering Managers and Engineers
- Focus: Hogan-specific technical questions
