HR Business Partner 3 (Employee Relations Focused)
Job Description
This role is essential in fostering a high-performance culture and enhancing workplace morale within the organization.
Responsibilities include:
• Support a CIDO client group(s) through collaboration with leadership to understand business needs and develop HR strategies that drive organizational performance and engagement
• Serve as the primary coordinator for employee relations issues, providing guidance on conflict resolution, and grievance procedures
• Under ER CoE management oversight, conduct thorough employee relations investigations into employee complaints, develop discipline recommendations in consultation with ER, and write case closure reports
• Provide training and resources to leadership on employee relations topics, conflict management, and compliance with employment laws
• Promote proactive and positive employee relations practices across the organization to drive engagement and change, and to manage risk to the organization
• Provide input and insights into site trends, escalating as appropriate
• Develop and implement practices and initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture and align with best practices while complying with federal and state employment laws
• Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to inform strategic decision-making and identify improvement opportunities in employee engagement and retention
• Provide training and resources to leadership on employee relations topics, conflict management, and compliance with employment laws
• Support talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, training and development, and succession planning
• Partner with managers to facilitate effective communication and address employee concerns, promoting a culture of transparency and trust
• Lead change management processes and support organizational transformation initiatives in conjunction with leadership
• Stay updated on trends in employment legislation and best practices in HR and employee relations to continuously improve organizational policies and practices
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and at least 6 years of proven experience in HR Business Partner roles, employee relations, or related field; or Master's degree and 4 years of related experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly related to employee relations
• Proven analytical communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
• Training in investigation techniques is highly desirable

• Master's degree in a related discipline
• HR certifications preferred

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
