Summary of the Role:The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Eastern Region HR team and employees. Working closely with HR Generalists and fellow Coordinators, this position is responsible for managing onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining employee files, assisting with the summer intern program, and driving employee engagement initiatives. Additionally, the role supports various HR programs, processes, and ad hoc projects. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multiple HR leaders, gain exposure to diverse HR functions, and develop skills aligned with personal career interests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure employee inquiries are answered and/or properly routed when applicable in a timely and caring manner
- Assist HR Generalists and Coordinators with ad hoc projects, onboarding and offboarding duties, and employee culture initiatives as needed
- Work alongside Internship Program Manager for regional intern program which includes entering roles, onboarding and offboarding interns
- Assist with employee engagement events such as local and regional events
- Own either the onboarding or offboarding process alongside the other HR Coordinator on the team
- Assist with ordering and maintaining employee swag for new hires, anniversaries and other events
- Work closely with the HR Generalist of the Eastern Region as well as other members of HR team out in the field
- Act as backup for HR Generalists and other Coordinator(s) as needed
- Occasionally visit local offices for event support. If local to NYC, weekly to monthly office attendance for events is preferred

- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Quick to learn new processes and adaptable to change
- Capable of working independently and managing priorities effectively
- Service-focused, approachable, and skilled in clear communication with team members and employees
- Able to build and maintain positive working relationships
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on practical, effective solutions
- Process-driven, efficient, and able to maintain structure in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of work
Education and/or Experience:
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Smartsheet experience required. Prior experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- Experience: 1–2 years of administrative or human resources experience preferred.
- Core Competencies:
- Ability to build personal connections and address employee needs while efficiently navigating systems, resources, and data.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Skilled at multitasking and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable seeking support when needed to ensure accuracy and high-quality outcomes

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
