Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Industrial Security Specialist - Level 3 (Principal), to join our Payload & Ground Systems team in Boulder, CO. In this job, you will:
• PERSEC: Coordinate clearance processing, access nominations, and eligibility verifications; manage foreign travel reporting, adverse information reporting, and indoctrinations/debriefings.
• INFOSEC: Assist program personnel with interpretation of Security Classification Guides (SCGs), conduct security reviews of material, and ensure secure transmission, storage and destruction of classified information.
• Physical Security & Facility Accreditation: Implement and maintain physical safeguards at secure facilities (SCIFs and SAPFs), ensuring compliance with ICD 705 and other customer requirements. Manage alarms, IDS testing, access control systems, and emergency procedures.
• SCIF and SAPF Operations: Execute daily operations within accredited SCIFs and SAPFs. Support construction, accreditation, and maintenance activities. Conduct and document TEMPEST evaluations, SCIF management, and secure communications oversight.
• Program Security: Manage access, conduct briefings, investigate and report security incidents and violations, support periodic self-inspections and compliance audits. Execute SAP security requirements across all phases of program activity. Develop and implement Program Security Plans (PSPs), manage access control and need-to-know validations, support DD Form 254 execution, and coordinate directly with Program Security Officers (PSOs) to ensure timely and compliant delivery of program security deliverables.
• Security Documentation & Reporting: Draft security standard operating procedures (SOPs), fixed facility checklists (FFCs), inspection reports, agreements and waivers.
• Liaison and Communication: Serve as the on-site security point of contact (POC) for government customers, accreditation authorities, and oversight agencies. Coordinate with Program Security Officers (PSOs), and Cognizant Security Authorities (CSAs).
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 3+ years of professional experience
• Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
• Must have served as a subject matter expert in the role as either a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO); Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO); Program Security Officer (PSO); or Program Security Representative (PSR) for at least 4 years in a DoD or IC environment.
• Familiar with applicable directives to include DoDM 5205.07 series, ICD 705, DoDM 5105.21 Volumes 1-3, and applicable SAP directives
• Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) current within 6 years and be able to meet the special access eligibility requirements of DoDM 5205.07 Volume 2
Preferred Qualifications:
• Current counterintelligence scoped polygraph
• Experience with JADE, DISS, SIMS, SCATTERED CASTLES or similar databases
• Working knowledge of SAP and SCI programs to provide procedural and policy guidance
• Completion of CDSE SAP Orientation course or CDSE SAP Mid-Level course

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
