Senior Full Stack Developer
Job Summary
A leading financial industry organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join its technology team. This role involves modernizing and scaling enterprise-grade applications that support financial modeling and research. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java-based microservices, cloud-native development, and modern front-end frameworks, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and clean architecture.
Responsibilities
- Migrate Spring Boot Java microservices from OpenShift (OCP) to AWS EKS.
- Upgrade legacy services from JDK 1.8 to JDK 17.
- Design, develop, test, and support applications within the financial modeling and research division.
- Conduct performance and stress testing to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Participate in release processes and maintain technical documentation.
- Address technical debt and resolve defects to maintain high code quality.
- Write clean, robust, and testable code backed by automated unit and integration tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across infrastructure and application layers.
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades and adoption of emerging technologies.
Basic Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in software design, development, integration, and testing using J2EE technologies.
- Strong background in Java frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate.
- Experience building cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Proficiency in RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
- Hands-on experience with Angular (or React JS), jQuery, and Material Design.
- Familiarity with ActiveMQ, Kafka, and Apigee API Management.
- Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Gradle/Maven, Git, Docker.
- Solid understanding of AWS services, especially EKS.
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, DB2) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
- Strong knowledge of application, data, and architecture design patterns.
- Experience writing automated unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and technologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with performance, regression, and acceptance testing.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and continuous change.
