What You'll Do
As an intern within BCG's Energy Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, helping to develop analysis and insights on the Energy Transition with our Center for Energy Impact (CEI) team. As an intern, you'll work directly with our team to build unique perspectives, analysis and content related to energy policy and regulation. You will be responsible for your own module or tasks. This could be gathering data, interpreting the implications of new energy-related rules and regulations from the federal government, developing models, or preparing and presenting solutions to our clients. During your internship, you will be mentored by a member of your team, providing formal and informal feedback.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Thinking analytically: You're an organized and strategic thinker who likes to learn how to deliver insights and analysis (e.g. Excel and PowerPoint) based on facts and trends.
Communicating with confidence: You will be a clear and confident communicator, able to deliver messages in a concise manner and you will learn to frame, structure, and develop intellectual property:
Working accurately in a fast-paced environment: You will have strong attention to detail by clarifying request objectives under direct supervision, discussing the most appropriate and timely approach, and finding effective solutions.
Working well independently and in a collaborative team environment: You can navigate complexity and ambiguity. You will develop skills for approaching all interactions with the highest level of quality and be able to ask questions to clarify and speak your mind to ensure a smooth learning process.
Seeking professional development: You will welcome the opportunity to grow and learn in an apprenticeship culture where you can quickly build and expand your industry knowledge
What You'll Bring
- Undertaking undergraduate studies, ideally at the intersection of policy and energy with relevant subjects (i.e. political science, geopolitics, energy, and climate)
- Previous internships with energy policy experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Passion and enthusiasm for energy-related policy and regulation

In this position, you will work within BCG Energy Practice's Center for Energy Impact. The Center for Energy Impact (CEI) is a group of colleagues within the Energy Practice that aims to engage a changing industry in new and different ways by providing challenging ideas to drive performance. CEI shines a light on the energy transition and what is required for the global transformation.

Compensation range for role: $21-$24 per hour
