Position Overview

Core Space’s Property Accounting Intern will manage a portfolio of properties and assist the property accounting team with a summer project to improve a process. Strong attention to detail, motivation to learn, and a desire to take on a new challenge are key attributes we are seeking.


What You Will Do

  • Perform monthly end process including but not limited to preparing journal entries, reviewing ledger detail, and maintaining supporting schedules for GAAP-based financial statements
  • Work and establish positive relationships and maintain frequent communication with community teams
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations
  • Calculate and project monthly cash flow distributions
  • Assist Senior Property Accountant with ad hoc projects 
  • Interact with and review for accuracy and consistency, work prepared by third party financial preparers 
  • Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation

Ideally, You'll Have

  • Current sophomore or junior in college studying accounting or finance
  • An understanding of accounting and financial principles
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • A team player attitude and motivation to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
  • Anticipated Schedule
  • Summer 2025

Pay Range

USD $25.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
Compensation Disclosure

The compensation range listed reflects the base salary or hourly rate that we reasonably and in good faith expect to offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, seniority, geographic location, and business needs.

This role may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, including bonuses, commissions, stipends, or non-cash incentives, depending on position and performance. Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other role-based offerings, subject to eligibility requirements.

All compensation components are subject to change based on business needs or market conditions.
