Job Description

Job Opportunity: Pediatric Hospitalist (Locums)
Location: Belleville, New Jersey
Start Date: November 2025 (credentialing required)
Coverage Need: Ongoing
Contract Length: Through June 2026 (with option to extend)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Setting: Community Hospital Well Baby Nursery & ER consults

Assignment Overview

Well Baby Nursery coverage, ER consults, and deliveries
Average census: 5 nursery patients, 3 ER consults, 5 deliveries per shift
Total patient load: per shift
Solo provider coverage (no APP supervision required)
Trauma level: Non-trauma
EMR: Epic

Candidate Requirements

MD/DO Board Certified in Pediatrics
Experience in inpatient pediatric hospitalist or nursery coverage
Comfortable managing deliveries and newborn care independently
