The Inventory Material Control Support Specialist compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued. Requisitions of needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones. Also, prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform a combination of manual and clerical duties to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in a central warehouse.

• Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices; stores articles according to identifying factors; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; requisitions stock to fill incoming orders; and prepares stock use reports.

• Determine methods or places for storage considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, floor loading capacity, and required space. Exclude shipping and/or receiving clerks.

• Pay attention to detail, have the ability to trouble shoot as needed,

• Work in a team environment or independently, lift 30 lbs.,

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)

• The ability to prioritize and multitask daily workload.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED with 0-1 years of experience in inventory, storeroom, warehouse, or other related fields.

• Must be available to work standard 1st shift hours 

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US. Government DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

• Deltek Costpoint experience

• Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) experience.

• Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued. Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones. Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.

Primary Level Salary Range: $36,500.00 - $60,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
