Are you ready to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world application development while earning college credits? The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is seeking a motivated student for a Co-Op position within our Information Technology department.Accountabilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain, and enhance systems used throughout the Bank.
- Assist with application analysis, development, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Provide technical support and assistance to IT team members.
- Gain hands-on experience working with both internally developed applications and vendor-supported platforms.
- Contribute to the implementation and ongoing improvement of technology solutions.
- Develop knowledge of financial systems and banking technology environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and operational objectives.
- Participate in system maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization initiatives.
Requirements:
- Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or pursuing/completing a Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Detail oriented.
- Knowledge of agile/waterfall development practices.
- Java stack development knowledge.
- MS SQL Server knowledge, including SQL Server Reporting Services and/or SQL Server Integration Services.
- Interest in or understanding of financial institutions and financial instrument.
- Current students and candidates with a strong interest in application development and who are able to work full-time hours.
Compensation Range:
Hourly: $22.00 - $22.00This compensation range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
