IT Site Support Technician

Location: Goodyear, Arizona (On-site)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: 27-32/hr

Role Overview

This position supports information technology assets by executing a variety of routine technical procedures on hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software within a single site. The work is directed and supervised, with a focus on resolving issues by following established SOPs or determining when a slight deviation is needed. This role involves documenting actions in a task tracking system and contributing to team knowledge by improving procedures and creating documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute technical SOPs for IT hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Document all actions and resolutions in a ticketing system, such as ServiceNow.
  • Install, configure, and decommission software and hardware assets.
  • Provide troubleshooting for PCs, industrial printers (e.g., Zebra), and RF scanners.
  • Support PCs within a Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Contribute to team improvement by creating knowledge base articles and user documentation.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Perform manual handling of equipment up to 50 lbs, including network hardware, peripherals, and printers.
  • Adhere to a work schedule of Wednesday to Saturday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications

Education: An Associate's Degree or equivalent certification is required.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse or industrial IT support setting is necessary.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting printers and RF scanners.
  • Experience with an IT ticketing system, preferably ServiceNow.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP.
  • Demonstrated skills in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Administration, Mobile Device Management, and RF Technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Experience with Zebra industrial printers and scanners.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work effectively in a multi-user, warehouse environment. The position requires the ability to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours per day and frequently move or carry loads up to 50 lbs.
