Key Responsibilities:
• Build automation for internal customers to eliminate manual repetitive tasks
• Extract and validate data from various systems using data interfaces and API
• Transform extracted data, associate data sets and load it efficiently into relational databases, ensuring data integrity and optimization.
• Perform data analysis to support business operations, decision making, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and data engineering, to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• Conduct regular data quality assessments and implement necessary measures to maintain and improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Develop, document, and maintain automation and ETL processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Provide support and training to end-users and stakeholders on data extraction, reporting tools, and analytical methodologies.
• Stay updated with advancements in AI, data analytics technologies, and industry best practices to continuously enhance data analysis capabilities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering and/or using automation tools
• Strong modeling and development experience with multi-dimensional (OLAP) and relational (OLTP) databases.
• Proven experience using Power Platform tools including PowerApps and Power Automate
• Strong proficiency in data ingestion tools including R script, Alteryx, SSIS, Python.
• Exposure to building visualization using Power BI and QA/testing of user interfaces.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and multi-dimensional models built using SSAS, SAP BW, GEP smart, Redshift cluster etc.
• Experience in the energy sector or utility industry.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
