IT Software Engineer Intern

Job Summary

From micro-services to the latest web framework, NetApp IT covers a wide gamut of technologies and applications, to deliver compelling solutions for our business.

As a Software Engineer intern, you would participate in application design, development, verification, troubleshooting and delivery of a system or major subsystems. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy and driven to produce results.

Essential Functions:
* Participate in functional and technical discussions within the team or other groups within/across the Business Unit
* Write advanced / complex SQL with performance tuning and optimization
* Identify ways to improve data reliability, data integrity, system efficiency and quality
* Assist with development and testing activities
* Assist in organizing and analyzing data for AI/ML initiatives
* Learn and apply basic programming skills like Python
* Collaborate with scientists and engineers on innovative projects

Job Requirements

* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
* Work collaboratively within teams to meet goals and high-quality standards
* Proven aptitude for learning new technologies
* Familiarity of basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
* Proficiency in one more of programming languages (Example: SQL/Python, Java etc.)
* Creative and analytical approach to problem solving
* Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibility and Interaction:
* Mix of structured and unstructured tasks
* Apply attained experiences and knowledge for solving routine to complex problems

Education

Must be enrolled in an educational or professional program through summer 2025 or later.

Compensation:
Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
