Job Description
Our luxury retail client is looking for 4 Italian Linguists to support their team through April 2026, 40 hours/week. 1 person must be hybrid in Corte Madera, CA 2-3x/week. The other 3 can be remote.
The ideal Italian Linguists should have the following experience:
- Native Italian speakers; full professional proficiency in English.
- Minimum 3+ years of translation experience, preferably including experience with a luxury, retail or other globally recognized brand.
- Demonstrated ability to translate clear, persuasive, and engaging copy with impeccable grammar and style from English to Italian
- Proficiency in CAT tools and familiarity with translation management systems (e.g. Phrase).
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to make decisions that support the business in the Italian market
Responsibilities:
- Review, proofread and edit translated content for accuracy, clarity and grammar to maintain a high level of quality in all Italian messaging
- Collaborate closely with the Brand Copy Team to align on messaging strategy and tone of voice for the Italian market
- Maintain the company's brand voice and tone guidelines, ensuring consistency across all communications in Italian
- Collaborate closely with the team of translators for other languages
- Liaise with the brands LSP to align on messaging for translated content
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and target audience to stay informed and ensure messaging aligns with our target market's interests and needs in Italy
- Help maintain the Italian Style Guide, ensuring it is aligned with Style Guides in other languages
- Be open to feedback and willing to make revisions to your work to meet changing project requirements
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
