Job Description:

Apex Systems is seeking a QC Lab Technician for a local chemical manufacturing clients located in Fort Mill, SC. The position is a 3-6 mo. Contract-to-Hire position that requires candidates to work a 2/2/3 rotating schedule. Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in chemistry techniques up to and including gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, IR, UV-VIS, titrations, and other techniques. Lab Technician (QC/QA Lab)

Pay Range: $22-26/hr.

3-6 mo. Contract-to-Hire

100% Onsite - 2/2/3 rotating schedule. Will require candidates to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare standards and solutions for analysis

• Analyze samples including raw material, in-process, and final product

• Report results to production and record data

• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment

• Prepares COA (Certificate of Analysis) for customer shipments

• Work closely with production, supervisors, and engineers

Qualifications:

• 1+ yrs. Lab experience

• High School Diploma (Degree in science field not required but a Plus)

• Able to work independently

• Flexible and willing to work overtime when needed

• Good housekeeping ethics

• Good chemical hygiene

Skills and knowledge:

• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office), spreadsheets

• Experience with GC (Gas chromatography) and LC (Liquid chromatography)

• Familiar with ChemStation software

• Wet Chemistry (pH, conductivity, titrations (manual and automatic), solids, etc.)

• TOC, VOC, Viscosity

• UV-Vis, IR or ICP experience a plus

• Familiar with ISO 9001 standard
