National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst for our Finance Services Group in Hicksville, NY
This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to our locations
Job Purpose
Taking lead role in leading Supplier Services, a team responsible for working with energy service companies (ESCOs), brokers, consultants, regulatory personnel, and other parties associated with the Competitive Energy Markets industry.
Key Accountabilities
- Assisting manager with keeping team on track, providing feedback on status of team.
- Helping to organize team's project load.
- Leading complex projects, inquiries, etc.
- Training team members.
- Ensuring metrics are accurate and timely.
- Aiding in influencing regulatory changes and, while helping team to prepare for such changes.
- Working with the director of the Complex Billing Function for urgent issues.
- Challenging existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to improve processes.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
- At least seven years of experience, preferably in the Retail Choice and/or Utility industries.
- In-depth knowledge of billing practices preferred.
- Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices.
- Knowledge of division policies, processes, and fields of work.
- Proven project leadership.

- Influence: Helps shape direction with stakeholders and lead team members.
- Project Management: Leads projects and helps to organize team's project portfolio
- In-Depth Analytical Thinking: Analyzes and interprets operational procedures, activities, and pertinent business documents; and identifies root causes to problems.
- Customer Orientation: Takes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptly and communicates customer expectations to monitor delivery and satisfaction.
- Attention to Detail: Reviews accuracy of own work and checks that all items are completed.
- Information Seeking: Establishes facts by digging deeper, asking probing questions, and challenging initial responses from different sources.

Salary
$120,000 - $141,000 a year
Salary commensurate with location and experience
