FactSet is seeking a Lead Program Manager to project manage client implementations, upgrades, and enterprise hosting migrations within the Institutional Buy Side product suite. You will focus on successful end-to-end delivery of FactSet solutions through strong project governance, cross-functional coordination, and on-time transitions to production that result in high client satisfaction. The Lead Program Manager will ensure consistency, transparency, and predictable outcomes across all assigned programs.

This role requires extensive project management experience managing multiple concurrent implementations, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships in complex environments. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders across client and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, collaborative, and have experience in the financial services industry working for a software vendor, consultancy, or bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project delivery of client implementations utilizing FactSet’s iterative implementation methodology
  • Accountable for program governance, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, decision management, escalation, and executive-level reporting
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed program plans, RAID logs, and weekly/monthly status reporting; proactively identify risks, dependencies, and delivery bottlenecks; drive mitigation plans and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Partner with client project management and senior stakeholders to align scope, timelines, dependencies, and communication strategies
  • Influence project phasing and delivery approaches to achieve value-driven outcomes aligned with client business priorities.
  • Matrix-manage cross-functional internal and client teams, setting priorities, forecasting milestones, and holding teams accountable for commitments
  • Identify and manage cross-program, technical environments, and third-party vendor dependencies that impact delivery timelines and risk; coordinate sequencing to minimize conflicts and delays
  • Communicate project status, key decisions, priorities, and escalations to stakeholders; create and present project artifacts including status reports, risk assessments, and decision frameworks; manage expectations internally and externally
  • Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across assigned projects
  • Establish and monitor quality standards and acceptance criteria for all deliverables; conduct reviews to ensure solutions meet client requirements before production deployment
  • Lead client readiness, training, cutover planning, and transition to production, ensuring operational stability and successful adoption.
  • Own project financials, burn-down tracking, and change control aligned with client statements of work
  • Contribute to PMO initiatives, standards, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen delivery consistency and maturity across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of project management experience leading complex, multi-year technology implementations; experience in the implementation of a financial system within a bank, insurance company, or Asset Manager is highly valued.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with proven ability to manage expectations, influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, and navigate challenging situations
  • Proven track record in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning; experience maintaining RAID logs and driving proactive issue resolution
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and influencing global, cross-functional teams to deliver results
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive consensus in client-facing roles across complex, matrixed environments
  • Ability to adapt project frameworks and methodologies to unique client circumstances and business requirements while maintaining governance discipline
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, third-party dependencies, and contract deliverables; comfortable working with statements of work and change orders
  • Hands-on experience with PM and collaboration tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, MS Teams, Jira, and program dashboards
  • Experience managing project budgets, financial forecasting, and change control processes; ability to track burn rates and maintain financial accountability aligned with client contracts
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • PMP® or PgMP® certification preferred; or equivalent experience leading large-scale client implementations within a global management consulting firm

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.

The budgeted amount range for this position in Norwalk and New York City is $120,000 -$150,000
