This Staff Physical Therapist Assistant will work in the outpatient clinic in the Late Afternoon/Evening hours. Flexible Scheduling. Therapist can choose their own hours, and days that work best for their schedule. But this position will require at least 2 shifts per week (3-hour minimum shift) between the hours of 3-8pm. This position will carry out established treatment plans focusing on improving mobility, increasing strength, and other physical therapy related goals with various populations.
Patients and families: Provide patient assessment, care, and information. Address concerns and complaints. Project a positive image of the departmental and hospital Physicians: and other healthcare team members: Promote coordination of care. Address concerns and complaints Community and Business: Provide education. EDUCATION- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
EXPERIENCE
- None
- Current NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners: Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligible.
- Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members.
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
