Job Summary

Responsible for identifying complex problems across multiple platforms and projects within one or more areas of research and developing novel machine learning algorithms to solve them. Evaluates accuracy and functionality of individual machine learning algorithms and as well as the overall implications of entire machine learning frameworks. Contributes to internal strategy and roadmap for one or more areas of machine learning research. Promotes areas of machine learning research internally and externally. May present at external meetings. Responsible for overseeing design, implementation and evaluation of future machine learning based products and applications. Guides multiple engineering teams to successfully deploy and operate machine learning based products and applications. Provides guidance and leadership to other researchers and engineers in developing novel ways to solve problems using machine learning and discover new machine learning powered products. Collaborates and influences teams and works cross functionally. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Leads teams and projects and shares expertise, but does not directly manage people.

Core Responsibilities

• Guides the successful completion of high profile, revenueimpactingprograms that use machine learning as essential components.Determinesthe technicalobjectivesof an assignment. Serves as a leader across multiple teams for machine learning technologies and areas of research, including the design of prototypes and partnering with the product team.
• Leads teams in the design and development of specifications, technical requirements,algorithmsand frameworks of custom machine learning based designs for future products and applications.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in designing and prototyping high complexity machine learning models. Leads innovation in technical capability delivery.
• Leads the realization ofcutting-edgetechnical capabilities into business applications and solutions bybeing responsible forapplying advanced algorithms and techniques to software solutions.
• Researches,writesand edits documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, confluence pages, white papers, presentations, test results, technical manuals, formalrecommendationsand reports. Creates patents, application programming interfaces (APIs)and other intellectual property. Presents papers and/or attends conferences, as well as displaying leadership in these areas.
• Specialized in LLM agents and large-scale evaluations of them.
• Tests and evaluates solutions presented to the Company by various internal and external partners and vendors. Leads teams in completing case studies,testingand reporting.
• Represents the work team and organization as the prime technical contact for one or more areas.
• Serves as a leader to others on assigned projects. Provides guidance and leadership tomore juniorengineers.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Salary:

Primary Location Pay Range: $234,380.91 - $351,571.37

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
