Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership to a team of security professionals responsible for comprehensive security operations within the Defense Systems Sector. A primary responsibility is to oversee the Sector Investigations and Insider Threat Program (ITP), ensuring all cyber and stakeholder-generated cases are assigned and monitored by the appropriate investigator. Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders to address security concerns and support enterprise-level initiatives. In addition:
•Case Management: Assign, monitor, and manage all investigations and insider threat cases in the company's management database, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to support metrics reporting for leadership.
•Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve security issues and ensure sector requirements are incorporated into future policies and initiatives.
Additional responsibilities:
•Enterprise Representation: Participate in enterprise-level initiatives, advocating for sector needs and ensuring alignment with company-wide security strategies.
•Metrics and Reporting: Provide regular updates and metrics to leadership, highlighting accomplishments and trends from the Sector Security team.
•Communication Forums: Plan and oversee regular communication forums to keep the Sector Security team informed and engaged on key issues, accomplishments, and upcoming initiatives.
This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance across all sector operations. Strategic oversight and collaboration with enterprise and sector leadership are essential to ensure a unified and effective security posture for the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
•10 Years of security experience with Bachelor's Degree; or 8 Years of security experience with Master's Degree; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
•Active DoD SECRET Clearance
•Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program and solid working knowledge of Special Access Programs.
• Demonstrated experience in making critical security program and management decisions for dynamic organization that support high value contracts across a wide US Government customer spectrum.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Current Top Secret/ and SAP access.
• Proven ability to perform and manage diverse and dispersed security programs and teams across multiple disciplines (entire program security spectrum), to include Program/industrial Security, Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) duties, Information/Cyber Security, COMSEC, Physical Security, Personnel Security, International Security.
• Proven ability and experience working with US Government security leadership in DOD and SAP security programs
• Knowledge and experience with ICD 705 construction and accreditation processes
• Demonstrated experience in development of complex security plans and proposal writing
• Experience and direct participation (working group and/or leadership positions) with Government/Industry Security Organizations (ISWG, NDIA, AIA, NCMS, etc.)
• Proven experience in planning and managing staffing and hiring processes for large teams, to include partnerships with HR, Talent Acquisition, hiring managers and program management leadership
Primary Level Salary Range: $154,600.00 - $231,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
