What you'll get to do:
• Encompass the full range of the procurement and subcontract acquisition process including participation in strategic sourcing decisions, domestic and international subcontracting, teaming agreement generation and execution, and preparing requests for proposals consistent with customer solicitations, federal statutes and regulations, and enterprise policies and procedures
• Will have responsibilities for evaluating proposal submissions, identifying risk and mitigation strategies, developing negotiation plans and negotiating, and preparing subcontract files in compliance with Northrop Grumman principles and operating practices.
• The ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams is essential.
• Will manage a team of supply chain professionals and oversee all aspects of Supply Chain for the Organizational Unit, delivering status reports, act with a sense of urgency in response to exigent requirements, applying supply chain knowledge and experience to successfully navigate high pace and high-level expectations.
• Ability to educate program teams, direct reports, and suppliers on processes, policies, FAR/DFARS, and procurement and subcontracting principles is essential.
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate with multiple levels internally to the organizations and externally to vendors, work under limited supervision, apply highly analytical approaches to problem solving issues, maintain an organized workload and preserve attention to detail, and have excellent business acumen and organizational skills.
This position standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Requirements for the Manager Subcontracts 1:
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of supply chain/business management/contracts/program management or Operations experience: Master's Degree with 3 years of experience: Associates Degree with 7 years of experience: OR 9 years of continuous experience in lieu of a degree.
• 1or more years of team lead and/or people management.
• Experience in a leadership role promoting a strong sense of engagement, teamwork, and cooperation.
• Experience with general procurement and subcontract execution workflows.
• Experience in general manufacturing and purchasing workflows.
• US citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience of overseeing a team and multiple employees.
• Aerospace and defense experience.
• Experience with technical, manufacturing, or supply chain requirements for platforms or systems being delivered to US Government and International customers
• Experience working in SAP, EVMS, and Tableau systems.
• Active Secret Clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range: $104,500.00 - $156,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
