Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- First point of contact for chassis line issues
- Maintain and complete assigned QIRP action items
- Review work and complete tasks assigned in PLM
- Follow all safety policies, rules and procedures
- Responsible for production processes and necessary tooling/equipment to produce high quality product with high operator efficiency
- Provide required personal hand tools
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Overall knowledge of bus body/chassis construction; departmental tools/equipment
- Technical ability to work from rough sketches or mark prints
- Able to adjust quality level to job at hand
- Knowledgeable of all tools and equipment in department
- Print reading/comprehension, MS Office, PLM, LN, BBOND, BOSS
- Ability to weld (tig, arc, mig) in order to fabricate assembly fixtures, tools and jigs
- Ability to work on several jobs at once
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- See knowledge, skills and abilities
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Team Worker and able to direct others
- Communicate with own and other departments (read, write, verbal)
- Overtime work required as needed
- Able to do physical work (normal lifting/carrying, bending and climbing)
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
- Must meet established quality and maintenance standards
- Maintain a positive, even-tempered attitude
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must meet established attendance policy and work overtime when required
- Must perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor
