Job Description
Essential Functions: Performs functions associated with all thin film coating operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, chamber foiling, coating, and analyzing and inspecting optics. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct adjustments to instruments and equipment. Ability to follow critical work instructions for assigned platform (past and present) and related analytical equipment. Works with engineers in conducting testing and process development and documentation. Handling and managing fragile composite materials. Prepare calibration run-sheets, coats calibration runs, analyzes results, and helps revise tooling factors for calibration runs. Includes understanding of the optical monitor and crystal monitor system.

Basic Qualifications:
• Manufacturing Technician 3: High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years' experience Thin Film Coating or related environment
• Manufacturing Technician 4: High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years' experience Thin Film Coating or related environment
• Candidate must be flexible with work shift, 3rd shift is preferred
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and methods
• Attention to detail
• Good math and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to navigate and operate within a Microsoft Office Environment (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Demonstrate Mechanical Ability
Preferred Qualifications:
• 8 years' experience in Thin Film Coating
• Ideal candidate will have completed college-level classes in math and science
• Proficient with computer programs to collect and evaluate operating data (i.e. Spectral Eval, TF Calc, LabView and Microsoft Office Suite)
• Active DoD Secret clearance
Salary Range: $59,300.00 - $98,900.00Salary Range 2: $70,400.00 - $117,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
