Our pharma client is looking for for a Market Research Manager to work a 40 hr/week hybrid role (onsite 3 days a week in Mettawa, can WFH on the remaining days) lasting through the end of the year.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage both analytics and primary research activities in support of supply chain stakeholders (e.g., Specialty Pharmacies, Retail Pharmacies, Wholesalers, Patient Services) for commercialized brands, including:
  • Conducting primary research on the supply chain landscape, customer capabilities, distribution network design, and value proposition development
    Supporting QBR initiatives by providing KPIs, analytics, and insights to assess business impact across channels when specialty pharmacy networks change, including discount trends and supply-related mitigation tactics
    Delivering analytics and insights assessing retail and specialty pharmacy FFS programs related to referrals and fills, shipments and dispenses, and related performance metrics
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in analytical and primary research methodologies, with the ability to synthesize insights into clear and compelling narratives. Exhibit high proficiency in data analytics, supplier and stakeholder management, and leadership of custom research programs to inform strategic and tactical decision-making. Maintain a strong knowledge base of insights and performance data across multiple therapeutic areas, leveraging prior research and analyses to inform new initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to therapeutic area leadership by guiding brand strategies and tactics through objective, high-quality customer insights. Act as a lead researcher and analyst with the ability to influence discussions with APEX colleagues, market access customers, and senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Finance, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of multivariate statistics, analytical software (e.g., SAS, SQL, SPSS Modeler, Dataiku), and pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, SHA, Truven, Optum, SSR, Analysource, CMS, HIRC, HSG)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in market analytics, marketing research, and field sales support within the pharmaceutical or related industry
  • Proven ability to identify, address, and influence customer needs
  • Proven ability to distill complex information into concise, impactful messages and presentations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA
  • Prior experience analyzing supply chain data and stakeholder insights

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
