Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Marketing Copywriter with expertise in crafting compelling web content to support the launch and ongoing updates of a dedicated 150th anniversary website. This site will celebrate the college's history, inform current students and faculty, engage alumni, and serve as a resource for press and the general public. This will be a hybrid role, in College Station, TX.

Responsibilities
Write clear, engaging, and concise marketing copy for the anniversary website, ensuring alignment with established branding, tone of voice, and visual identity.
Collaborate with university historians to transform historical information into digestible, audience-friendly content.
Develop short-form copy for various sections of the site, complementing existing long-form content.
Update and maintain website copy throughout the year as events and information evolve.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

Project Details
Initial focus will be on preparing content for a soft launch in mid-January, followed by ongoing updates in a maintenance capacity.
Estimated workload: approximately 20 hours per week, with a heavier lift during initial development and reduced hours post-launch.
Wireframes will be available within the next 12 weeks to guide content development.

Qualifications
Proven experience writing marketing copy for websites, with a portfolio showcasing specific examples and clarity on individual contributions.
Ability to distill complex or historical information into concise, engaging copy for diverse audiences.
Familiarity with higher education audiences and tone is strongly preferred.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within established branding frameworks.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
