Job Description
As the Marketing Data Strategist, you will own the analytics technology, data foundations, and measurement processes that enable scalable, automated, and future-ready marketing insights across the enterprise. You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and modernizing the analytics ecosystem that supports campaign performance, website engagement, SEO, paid media, and lead-to-sales measurement across multiple lines of business.
This role is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful impact by leading analytics platform migrations, improving data quality and accessibility, and strengthening cross-functional partnerships with technology, data engineering, MarTech, and BI teams. You will help evolve how marketing data is collected, structured, and activated, ensuring our measurement capabilities are built for scale, automation, and long-term growth.
To be successful in this role, you will bring deep hands-on experience with digital analytics and tagging platforms, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to partner across technical and non-technical teams. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented leader who can translate complex data into clear insights that influence strategy and decision-making.
This is a hybrid (3 days onsite in Hudson Yards), 40-hour-per-week, 6-month contract with strong potential to extend.
Analytics Platform Modernization & Migration
- Lead initiatives to modernize the marketing analytics technology ecosystem, including the migration of analytics platforms to enable end-to-end customer journey insights
- Define analytics and reporting requirements in partnership with technology and data engineering teams to ensure accurate tracking, tagging, and data flows across platforms
- Build and deepen partnerships with MarTech, BI, technology, and data engineering stakeholders to ensure analytics infrastructure supports scalable, automated reporting
Marketing Data & Measurement
- Lead efforts to improve data accessibility, quality, and integration across reporting platforms and tools
- Ensure website features, events, and conversions are appropriately tracked within digital analytics tools; collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements
- Define KPI benchmarks and ensure alignment with modernized measurement frameworks across campaigns, channels, and lines of business
Analytics, Reporting & Insights
- Review existing dashboards and reports, and develop new, automated reporting solutions that demonstrate marketing and brand effectiveness
- Integrate data from paid media, website analytics, SEO, and content performance to deliver clear, actionable insights
- Share ongoing trends, distill complex data into compelling narratives, and provide insights that influence strategic decisions and measurement evolution
- Present data, insights, and measurement recommendations to key stakeholders across the organization
What we're looking for
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with marketing campaigns and digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, Ahrefs)
- Experience leading or supporting analytics platform migrations, tool modernization, or reporting infrastructure enhancements
- Proven ability to partner effectively with technology and data engineering teams to implement tracking and analytics solutions
- Strong proficiency in website analytics, conversion measurement, and lead or demand generation analytics
- Advanced Excel skills and a deep understanding of web and digital marketing KPIs
- Experience working in matrixed organizations or agency environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions
- Nice-to-Have: Experience in insurance or other financial services marketing environments that rely on digital channels and high-quality data
