Measurement Analyst job family posting (Level 2-4)
The measurement analyst provides support activities to various Measurement Department functions. Support activities including data analysis, reporting, monitoring, investigation, and field dispatching.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Expertise:
•Process data into asset tracking system and work exceptions
•Analyzes and resolves meter data issues
•Monitors statistical sampling programs
•Investigates incomplete or missing data and works with appropriate parties to resolve
•Ability to interact with and understand multiple pieces of data across multiple systems (MHS, Click, CCB, Mainframe, FlowGIS, 7I, GCMA, etc.)
•Fulfill ad hoc requests as necessary
•Gather, interpret, and format data and metrics for presentations for internal and external use
•Monitoring, analysis and reporting of pipeline station data
•Analysis of data that supports various Measurement department functions
•Other duties as assigned
Business Acumen:
•Initiate activities to support the needs and direction of the business
•Evaluate and recommend changes to process when new issues arise
•Provide analytical research and problem solving to identify problems, issues, errors and determine root cause
•Utilizes analytical skills to evaluate data for accuracy
•Identify and evaluate improvements to systems
Engagement:
•Partner with Management to review business processes; identify gaps and areas for improvement, make recommendations based on findings
•Conduct analysis, document findings and communicate to business leaders to drive results
•Follow organizational policies and procedures and ensure compliance
•Manage partnerships and relationships within and outside the Measurement department
•Partner cross functionally and at all levels of the organization to meet business objectives
•Serve as the department lead and provide support in the absence of the supervisor
Driving Results:
•Ensure accuracy of work meets departmental goals
•Ensure timeliness of work completion meets departmental goals
•Ensure timely follow up
•Trouble shoot operating issues with applications used by Measurement
•Manage multiple/diverse priorities
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Level 2
Education: Preferred BA/BS Degree
Preferred: 2+ years gas utility experience
Required: intermediate MS Excel and MS Word
Level 3
Education:
Required: BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
Related Work Experience:
Required:
3-5 years combined experience with utilities or other related experience
2-4 years’ experience analyzing data
Preferred:
3+ years gas utility experience
4-6 years analyzing operational data and supporting business processes
Intermediate knowledge of business processes and procedures
Intermediate knowledge of business-related systems
