Medical Director Hospitalists Optimize Clinic in Raleigh, NC 

UNC Rex (UNC Health Medical Group) has the opportunity for a Medical Director to join our growing hospitalist team in Raleigh, NC. This position involves leading a high-quality, team-based inpatient services group of hospitalists and nocturnists.

EMR: EPIC 

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Educate, train and monitor the hospitalist personnel 

• Assist in timely resolution of inter-department problems as they arise 

• Responsible for Quality Assurance and Risk Management 

• In concert with the hospital’s process for responding to patient complaints 

Requirements: 

• Supervisory or leadership experience required 

• Three or more years of hospitalist experience required 

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) 

• Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine or DO school 

• North Carolina licensed or in process

● Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● BLS , Board Certified in Specialty , DEA , MD License in healthcare specialty
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Language Skills: Ability to communicate proficiently in English. Reasoning Ability: High-level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.
