Apex Systems is currently hiring for Technical Product Owner for a client in the Financial industry.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
- Regulated Industry Experience: Senior-level professional with broad exposure, including compliance and governance in regulated environments
- Open-Source Expertise: Strong experience with Python (primarily) and familiarity with other open-source technologies
- High-Performance Computing (HPC): Hands-on experience with general-purpose GPU usage and optimization.
- Frameworks for HPC: Proven ability to implement and manage frameworks on high-performance compute servers.
No C2C, 1099, or third-party submissions will be accepted. Only direct W-2 candidates will be considered.

Pay Rate Range: $70.24/hr

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Administration of High-Compute Platforms: Oversee and manage the operation and performance of high-compute systems.
- Technical Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between technology teams and CTIT, ensuring alignment on high-compute requirements.
- Configuration & Implementation: Define and implement configurations for high-compute environments to meet business and technical needs.
- Architecture & Production Deployment: Design and architect solutions for high-compute workloads and ensure smooth integration into production environments.
- Ensure Appropriate Delivery of Technology Solutions: Deliver solutions that align with business requirements and objectives.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure AI and high-compute solutions comply with IT policies, standards, and agreed-upon service levels.
Must-Have Requirements

The Data Science ML/LLM engineer operational enhancements, maintenance and support of the all the data science software in our Innovation Lab (Python, R, TensorFlow, H2O, Keras, etc. This includes providing security management, application and underlying infrastructure support (OS, Storage, Applications, Web and Database) and ensuring processes are aligned with tactical and strategic information management initiatives. The Data Science ML/LLM engineer serves as liaison between the enterprise infrastructure support teams and risk business partners to ensure appropriate delivery of technology solutions in accordance with business requirements and objectives. The Data Science ML/LLM engineer also ensures the AI solutions are positioned for compliance with IT policies and standards and agreed upon service levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensures the overall health of the Data Science environment/solutions
• Applies maintenance releases, upgrades, version control of packages, and hot fixes as required
• Designs solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the platform
• Designs, implements, and maintains AI Solutions via Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and Cloud.
• Performs platform capacity planning and management
• Serves as an escalation point for escalated platform issues.
• Establishes best practices and guidelines for usage of the Data Science platforms
Analytical Requirements – Drive ROI for LOB/Enterprise by managing an end to end Data Science solution that requires an analytical tool that only CDSO can provide.
• Be able to translate a customer’s business needs to a specific analytical solution.
• Have a firm understanding of the capabilities of the various software analytical procedures.
• Be a thought-leader in the area of analytics/data science with respect to entity resolution as it pertains to the customer's mission.
• Be able to generate written documentation of all work performed.
• Have a customer-focused demeanor, effective oral and written communication skills.
Specific Technical Requirements – Firm understanding of open source products, the skill set of team needed to support consulting needs on Linux, Ubuntu, and Cloud.
Python, Anaconda, Jupyter Notebook, R, RStudio, R Shiny, R Markdown, TensorFlow, Keras, H2O, Theano, Caffe, etc.
General Technical Skillsets:
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues
• Assisting in development/maintenance of process automation

• Familiarity with Unix shell scripting
• Ability to multi-task and address complex support issues in a mixed technology environment
• Firm understanding of GPU and relationship to Deep Learning/Neural Nets
