We are seeking a Permanent Physician Neonatologist in Virginia.

Permanent Physician Neonatologist

Position Type: Permanent
Specialty: Physician - Neonatology
Location: Virginia.
Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: Continuous 24-hour coverage, in-house rotation
Start Date: TBD
End Date: Permanent

Position Details:
Patient Population: Neonatal (Level III NICU, 40 beds)
Setting: Hospital Inpatient NICU (single-family room model)
Responsibilities: Provide neonatal intensive care, collaborate with neonatology team for 24/7 in-house coverage, utilize advanced therapies (HFOV, HFJV, nitric oxide, hypothermia), coordinate with pediatric surgery/cardiology, support neonatal transport team, family-centered care, participate in QI, safety, and research initiatives
Required Procedures: Ventilation management, therapeutic hypothermia, advanced NICU procedures for critically ill neonates
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Neonatologists, pediatric surgery, cardiology, nurse-led transport team, NICU nursing staff
Days Per Month: Rotating schedule (continuous coverage)
On-Call/Weekends: Included in 24/7 in-house schedule

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics Required

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Required

  • Virginia Medical License (or willing to obtain) Required

  • Clean malpractice and license history Highly Preferred

  • Specify visa requirements (J1/H1B) if applicable Required
