Position Overview
We are looking for a .NET Practice Manager to lead and grow our .NET engineering capability within the Mexico Delivery Center. This role will oversee technical delivery, talent development, and practice operations, ensuring Apex consistently delivers high-quality, scalable, and innovative .NET solutions. The ideal candidate blends strong technical expertise with leadership, business acumen, and a passion for mentoring engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the .NET practice across multiple client projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for .NET solutions aligned with Apex’s global technology strategy.
- Partner with account managers, delivery leads, and architects to scope and design enterprise applications.
- Drive best practices in software architecture, coding standards, testing, and DevOps automation.
- Mentor and guide technical leads, architects, and developers to ensure professional growth and performance excellence.
- Collaborate with recruiting and HR teams to identify, attract, and retain top .NET talent.
- Manage practice operations, including resource planning, staffing, utilization, and financial performance.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies in the Microsoft ecosystem (.NET 8, Azure, Blazor, MAUI, etc.) and promote innovation across the team.
- Represent Apex in client meetings, solution presentations, and technical governance sessions.
- Contribute to pre-sales, proposal development, and client engagement strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on .NET and Microsoft technologies.
- 3+ years in a leadership or practice management role, managing technical teams and delivery portfolios.
- Proven expertise in .NET Core / .NET 6+, C#, and modern frameworks (ASP.NET, Entity Framework, LINQ).
- Experience architecting and delivering enterprise-grade applications in Azure cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a consulting or delivery center model.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with a consultative mindset.
- English fluency (C1 level) for collaboration with global teams and executive communication.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with frontend technologies (Angular, React, Blazor).
- Understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Power Platform and Microsoft 365 ecosystem integration.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Experience scaling technical practices or Centers of Excellence (CoE).
