Job Description
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The selected candidate will be part of a team that reports to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO) and performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the C2BMC network systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment.
Essential Functions:
• Will provide first-level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC network hardware and software
• Document and report all events/issues to the CWO and receive tasking and direction from the CCC for all operations, test & real-world events
• Assist in all network hardware/software installations as directed by the local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSO
• Experience in Windows Server maintenance
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Performs other duties and assignments as required
Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a related discipline and 0 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience instead of a degree may be considered
• Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
• DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.) is required
• Position requires rotating 24x7 shift work, will be assigned to a 12-hour shift, determined by mission requirements. Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will be required
• Must know Network concepts:
• LAN/WAN
• TCP/IP
• Network management
• Monitoring
• Must know management and monitoring tools and techniques for various network infrastructure components and services
• Knowledge of monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools
• Virtualization technologies such as:
• VMware, vCenter, and vSphere
• Must have knowledge and practical experience with remote access software such as:
• SSH
• RDP
• FTP
• SCP
• Must know OSPF, Cisco IOS, and JUNOS commands and troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications:
• Current and Active in-scope DoD-Issued TS/SCI clearance is highly desired
• Knowledge and practical experience in the use of network management tools
• Familiarity with encryption devices, specifically TACLANEs
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix Server maintenance
• Experience in liaising with other DoD Agencies and associated network operations organizations

Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
