Role and Responsibilities include:
• Provide technical support to clients, respond to their request promptly and resolve network issues.
• Maintains in-depth up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends, etc., for the Networking discipline, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, interconnection.
• Plans, designs, configures, and installs network hardware in support of customer requirements.
• Creates and ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
• Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
• Occasionally travel to other NG sites as needed.
• Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.
• Interface regularly with customers and manage customer installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful deployments.
•This role can be supported by a level 2 (early career) or level 3 (mid-career) Network Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for level 2:
• Must have a minimum of 2 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree OR 0 Years of experience with a relevant Masters Degree
• Must have the ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance
• Must have hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and setting up switched networks
• Proficient knowledge with Cisco routers and switches.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP related protocols, Dynamic Routing Protocols, Switching technologies and features
• Ability to successfully solve network related problems reported by users
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
• Skilled with Microsoft Office 365 applications and Visio.
• Ability to work onsite 100% of the time at the Rocket Center, WV location
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
