Position Summary:


The Network Support Associate is an entry-level role responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to network infrastructure and configurations. This position supports the engineering team by assisting with basic installations, creating change requests, and updating network diagrams. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of networking concepts and is eager to learn and grow within the field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and topology maps.
  • Assist engineers with basic installations and configurations under supervision.
  • Support the creation and submission of Change Requests (CRs) as part of the change management process.
  • Help develop and standardize network documentation templates.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for new deployments and upgrades.
  • Organize and store network documentation in centralized repositories.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting tasks and escalate issues to senior engineers when needed.
  • Assist in inventory management by keeping track of network assets and documentation.
  • Conduct data entry and maintenance of network-related records and logs.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must pass a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation.
  • Experience with basic computer tasks or technical support is beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routing, switching).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio) for documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certifications: Willingness to pursue basic IT certifications (CompTIA IT Fundamentals+, A+, Network+)

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn and develop skills through hands-on experience.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
