UNC Health Rockingham currently has an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) opportunity in the community Occupational and Employee Health Clinic. This position provides employment-related medical evaluations for pre-employment, annual, return to work, and any other similar specialized type examinations for organizations in the surrounding community and teammates at UNC Rockingham. The provider will also assess, diagnose, treat and manage work-related injuries, exposures and illness.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- APP experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine or occupational health preferred.
- Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of NC.
- Current Certification for Prescriptive Authority with DEA License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program.
- Ability to obtain DOT assessment training
- Knowledge of NC Workers Compensation
- Knowledge of CDC guidelines for healthcare and OSHA regulations/standards

UNC Rockingham and its affiliates are in Eden, NC. Eden is a city of 15,000 located in Rockingham County, NC in the Piedmont Region of central NC. Eden is approximately 25 miles from Martinsville & Danville, VA as well as Greensboro, NC and within a few hours of both the NC mountains and coastal areas.
