As a Multi-Line Competent Manufacturing Operator (FPS) you are responsible for

• Monitoring and overseeing the extrusion, tapeline cover line, process to ensure correct operational settings and to prevent machine stoppages.
• Responsible for fielding operator inquiries from front line employees.
• Performing machine set-up duties to prepare and maintain products and materials according to production schedule.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to ensure it reflects the quality standards of the product.
• Conducting inspections and assisting in maintaining production logs to review quality and to record and report any issues.
• Responsible for participating TPM activities for operational lines.
• Participate in Problem solving actives including problem-solving board, Kaizen Blitz and will assist building out PowerPoint Decks used to present findings from those activities.
• Experience with Oracle.
• Participate in creating and maintaining work instructions and COIs
• Participate in COPQ and cost out initiatives.
• Assisting in mentoring SSE and contingent workers.
• Maintain a keep stock of consumables.
• Maintaining 5S standards when performing tasks and operating motorized equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Candidate must be multi line competent and willing to flex when required.
• Candidate must be tapeline, coverline and baseline competent, will consider baseline and tapeline competent candidates.
• Participate in two continuous competency units per year.

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent level of education
• Demonstrate proven experience on extrusion processes and techniques
• Display a mechanical aptitude or an enthusiasm to learn and develop your skill set in a hands-on environment
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to be a valuable team player
• Show a basic understanding of IT such as MS Office and a desire to learn new software
• Be able to work a consistent shift that helps you balance your life and family commitments
