Search Engine Marketing Specialist
Position Overview
The Search Engine Marketing Specialist will work closely with a highly motivated team to manage paid search campaigns, optimize performance, and identify opportunities for innovation. You will be responsible for your own set of campaigns, US based and global, including keyword strategy development, campaign execution, reporting, auditing, and partnering with cross-functional teams and technology providers.
This is a fully remote, 40 hour/week freelance opportunity that will begin in mid-January with an initial duration of 2026. You will be provided with a computer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing cohesive paid search strategies across multiple audience segments and therapeutic areas.
- Conduct ongoing keyword research and optimization to improve campaign performance.
- Build, execute, and manage paid search campaigns across a diverse portfolio of brands.
- Identify new testing and optimization opportunities to enhance search performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align SEM strategies with broader marketing objectives.
- Manage daily budgets, pacing, reporting, quality assurance checks, and ad copy development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on paid search experience.
- Strong understanding of digital channels, measurement, and optimization.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics, and bid management platforms (e.g., Skai).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a high-performing team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide clear, effective solutions.
- High emotional intelligence and collaborative mindset.
- Experience analyzing data to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Familiarity with campaign performance metrics and aligning SEM strategies with brand goals.
