Essential Duties
We are seeking part-time faculty to teach a 3-credit course in stage management. The class will meet this spring semester on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:45. The successful candidate will also have the possibility of up to an additional six credits each semester for mentoring student stage managers and assistant stage managers.- Teach a variety of upper level & lower-level courses in production and stage management, including practicum courses, for our University's diverse student population using a variety of appropriate teaching methods; meet all scheduled classes prepared to instruct; prepare teaching syllabi for courses of study; prepares materials to adequately evaluate student progress; report midterm and final grades when appropriate; maintains accurate and adequate records.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities.
- Utilize an equity- minded framework to prepare lesson plans which incorporate varied instructional techniques, multi-media, integration strategies designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.
- Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Encourages student success to all students regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, immigration status, religion, or disability.

MA, MFA, or PhD in related fieldPreferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience at the university/college level preferredProfessional stage management experience preferred.Special Conditions for Eligibility
