As a Parts Specialist at United Rentals, you will be responsible for supporting the parts department, including the maintenance of sufficient inventory levels to meet projected parts needs of customers and the branch's service department.

What you'll do:

  • Purchase parts from manufacturers and suppliers; acquire parts from other branches as-needed to maintain and replenish inventory

  • Process external and internal parts orders by completing invoices, updating inventory records, verifying customer credit and shipping parts as needed

  • Advise Management on parts activities, future trends and matters which affect the efficiency of the department regarding customer relations

  • Maintain current parts manuals, catalogs, literature and price lists for all equipment sold by the company

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

  • 2+ years of retail exposure

  • Heavy equipment knowledge is preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use technology tools to increase performance efficiency

  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.

Responsabilités complémentaires(liste non exhaustive):

  • Acheter des pièces auprès de fabricants et de fournisseurs ainsi que des pièces auprès d'autres succursales, au besoin, pour maintenir et réapprovisionner l'inventaire

  • Traiter les commandes de pièces externes et internes en remplissant les factures, en mettant à jour les registres d'inventaire, en vérifiant le crédit du client et en expédiant les pièces au besoin

  • Conseiller la direction sur les activités relatives aux pièces, les tendances à venir et les questions qui ont un effet sur l'efficacité du service en ce qui a trait aux relations avec la clientèle

  • Tenir à jour les manuels, les catalogues, la documentation et les barèmes tarifaires des pièces correspondantes à tous les équipements vendus par l'entreprise

  • Autres responsabilités en fonction des besoins

Exigences du poste:

  • Diplôme d'études secondaires ou équivalent

  • Permis de conduire en cours de validité et dossier de conduite acceptable

  • Plus de deux années d'expérience dans le commerce de détail

  • La connaissance de l'équipement lourd est préférable

  • Aptitude à utiliser Microsoft Office et les outils technologiques d'amélioration de l'efficacité et du rendement

  • Sens du service à la clientèle et du travail d'équipe, compétences en communication verbale et écrite
