SUMMARY

This position is looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the Atrius team at our Oncology team at our Kenmore site in Boston, Massachusetts with a full-time open schedule with availability during open business hours of Mon-Fri 8-8p Sat/Sun 10-5 and rotating holidays. Performs a variety of medication preparation tasks, as well as other duties in support of oncology pharmacy operations. Must possess Pharmacy Technician Registration, as required by the Massachusetts Pharmacy Board of Registration as well as National Pharmacy Training Certification.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required.

  • Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program or institutional/retail pharmacy experience.

  • Must currently be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts with an active pharmacy technician license without restrictions from the MA Board of Pharmacy.

  • Must currently have an active National Pharmacy Training Certification without restrictions.

EXPERIENCE

  • One to two years' experience as an IV pharmacy technician is preferred.

  • Must have knowledge of laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice and patient confidentiality.

  • Must have knowledge of medication abbreviation and symbols, common dosage calculations, and storage requirements.

SKILLS

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills also required.

  • Working knowledge of pharmacy operations related to sterile intravenous preparations is preferred.

The hourly range for this role is $23.14 to $34.71 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Atrius Health complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
