Provides both routine and special radiotherapy treatment procedures, software maintenance, educational and research activities.

UNC-Rex Radiation Oncology is seeking a dedicated and collaborative medical physicist to join our dynamic clinical team. We are committed to advancing our mission of delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to every patient we serve.

Our department is equipped with three state-of-the-art linear accelerators supporting a wide range of special procedures and an HDR program.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive medical physics support, including oversight of advanced treatments such as SRS, SBRT, and IMRT/IGRT. Core responsibilities include pre-treatment and weekly chart checks, acceptance testing and commissioning, and routine quality assurance.

Beyond daily clinical practice, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of care across all five UNC-Rex Cancer Centers by leading and contributing to new and ongoing clinical projects, helping develop and refine policies and procedures, and advancing efforts to standardize workflows across our sites. This position also offers professional growth through active participation in system-wide initiatives, as well as engagement in internal and external committees and professional organizations.

● Master's degree in Medical Physics, Physics or related field.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Three (3) years of clinical experience.
