Position Description:
Designs and develops Application Program Interfaces (APIs) with NodeJS. Develops a GraphQL layer to invoke the service from Frontend application. Creates Unit test cases using NestJS tool and meets the code coverage. Builds the applications through Jenkins Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. Deploys the applications in Test environments using UDeploy tool. Uses Splunk and Snowflake tools to validate the logs at each level of the applications. Develops modern web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript technology stack, Angular, and React/Vue. Develops web applications using NodeJS, ExpressJS, NestJS, and GraphQL. Tests automation and frameworks uses tools like Jest, Protractor, Mocha, Jasmine, Cypress, along with DevOps an Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins and containerization technologies such as Docker.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participates in architecture design teams.
- Defines and implements application level architecture.
- Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
- Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
- Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
- Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
- Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
- Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
- Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
- Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
- Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
- Advises senior management on technical strategy.
- Mentors junior team members.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing Web applications, using Angular, GraphQL or Node JS in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing Web applications, using Angular, GraphQL or Node JS in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and implementing software solutions, using User Interface (UI) development technology stack - NodeJS, GraphQL, HTML 5, TypeScript, JavaScript, or CSS; and implementing state management patterns and frameworks using NgRx/RxJS.
- DE supporting the analysis, design, development, deployment, maintenance, and testing of responsive Web applications, using Angular; performing test case development using Jest and Mocha; performing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using Jenkins; performing version control using Github; and performing log tracking using Splunk or Datadog.
- DE supporting the full Web application development lifecycle -- analysis, design, development, test, and deployment -- using Source Control version (Github or Stash) and build tools (Maven or Jenkins) according to Agile methodologies.
- DE developing highly performant financial applications, transacting secure customer information and creating reusable components with Monorepo approach using Angular, GraphQL or NodeJS.
