Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking candidates for the position of Principal / Sr. Principal Change Execution Engineer to support advanced technology development programs. This position is located at the Linthicum, MD location.  This position will work closely with design, manufacturing, equipment, and process engineering groups to oversee implementation of approved changes within a structured change management team.
What You'll get to Do: 

• Manages and implements changes to products, processes, or documentation, ensuring they are done efficiently and with minimal disruption. Key responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams like design, manufacturing, and quality, evaluating the impact of proposed changes, and tracking their status from request to implementation. This role requires strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Oversee the entire process of an engineering change, from request and approval to release and full implementation
• Evaluate proposed changes for their impact on cost, schedule, materials, and product performance
• Ensure all changes are properly documented and align with company and regulatory standards
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with changes to minimize disruptions to production and operations
• Participate in initiatives to enhance the change management process, streamline workflows, and reduce lead times
• Track progress, report on the status of changes, and facilitate meetings to address issues and concerns across departments

• Help to identify software and systems needed for successful change execution procedures. 
This is a dual level requisition which can be filled as a  Principal or Sr. Principal Factory Change Execution Engineer
Basic Qualifications for Principal Factory Change Control Engineer: 

• A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with a master's degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD. 

• Experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fab. 

• Understanding of business processes, best practices, and QMS components for managing changes in a semiconductor or microelectronics fabrication line. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present. frequent updates to management. 

• Must be willing to work on site 100% of time. 

• Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required. 

• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen 

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance per business requirements 
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Factory Change Control Engineer: 

• A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience with a master's degree, or 4 years of experience with a PhD 

• Experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fab. 
• Experience leading teams of engineers and scientists in a change management setting.
• Demonstrated history of mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

• Understanding of business processes, best practices, and QMS components for managing changes in a semiconductor or microelectronics fabrication line. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present frequent updates to management. 

• Must be willing to work on site 100% of time. 

• Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required. 

• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen 

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance per business requirements 
Preferred Qualifications: 

• Active US government security clearance per business requirements 
• Experience in change management, change control, or change execution.

• Experience with starting up a modern automated or semi-automated new semiconductor manufacturing line. 

• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of engineering change control systems and methodologies.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering disciplines.
• Experience with the product development and manufacturing lifecycle. 

• Experienced with implementing new CMS components. 

• Has worked with Applied Materials SmartFactory CIM solution. 

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software tools, i.e. Atlassian tools stack - Jira, Confluence. 
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
