Principal/Sr Principal Software Configuration Analyst
Job Description
Job Duties include:
• Assist in the implementation of program Configuration Management plans, procedures, and work instructions Assist in the maintenance of product configuration baselines
• Participate in process improvement activities; contribute suggestions for adapting policy to situations and update processes and procedures as required
• Assist in software build and release management functions
• Drive the development, implementation and management of the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) principles, processes and procedures.
Basic Qualifications
• For Principal Level- 6 Years of experience with Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters degree. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• For Sr Principal Level- 9 years of experience with Bachelor's degree; 7 years with Masters degree. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience with software development lifecycle and processes
• Experience with software configuration management processes, source control, branching strategies and semantic versioning
• Experience with and comprehensive understanding of software development and configuration management tools (i.e., Linux, Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Confluence, ClearQuest, Git, Collaborator)
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and complete tasks timely
• Ability to collaborate with fellow team members, cross-organizational teams, and management
• Understanding of EIA-649, MIL-HDBK-61, AS9100, and related standards
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with continuous improvement of processes
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience with DevOps
• Ability to identify the needs to achieve build automation; experience designing and implementing CI/CD solutions
• Experience with Solid State Drive (SSD) partitioning and management
Primary Level Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
