Our financial services client in McLean, VA, is looking for a Product Designer to join their team on a 40-hour-a-week assignment through the end of 2026. This position is onsite Monday to Friday.
This role will focus on leveraging AI and LLMs to build intuitive web applications and enterprise tools. You will partner with product and engineering teams to design scalable, accessible experiences, primarily focused on model visualization and editor workflows. This role requires a pragmatic, user-centered designer with strong prototyping skills and an understanding of enterprise software.
You should have a strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and the design patterns used in AI tools.
Duties of the Product Designer:
- Lead the end-to-end design process across complex workflows
- Create use cases, flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design specs
- Produce interactive prototypes to communicate ideas and component behavior
- Work closely with engineering to ensure accurate implementation and identify improvements
- Embed accessibility best practices into all design deliverables.
- Provide design guidance across interconnected enterprise applications
- Participate in peer reviews and uphold design system standards
- Conduct demos for partners and stakeholders
- Partner with engineering on feasibility, requirements, and UX QA
- Support lightweight research, usability reviews, and rapid iteration
- Contribute to the evolution of the Design System
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and other business teams
Requirements of the Product Designer:
- A minimum of 3 years of Product Design experience
- Proficiency with Figma or similar rapid prototyping tools
- Knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS, Agile/Jira workflows
- Familiarity with LLM/Generative AI tools is required
- Experience partnering with engineering; ability to communicate tradeoffs
- Strong understanding of componentbased UI design
- Experience designing for accessibility
- Strong communication, detail orientation, and organizational skills
