THE OPPORTUNITY

The Program Coordinator will assist in the coordination and delivery of programs that support Babson’s undergraduate curriculum. Specifically responsible for working with students; collaborating with faculty members and campus partners; managing student leaders; participating in program design and implementation; delivering timely support services; and serving as the primary coordinator for one or more experiential learning programs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Responsible for supporting operations of specific core courses; EPS 1000 Hatch & Hustle: Foundations in Entrepreneurship, and MOB 1010 Organizational Behavior Lab: Foundations in Management. This may include: email management, scheduling calendar accounts for student meetings, training student leaders, organizing and prepping supplies for class activities, posting material in the course management software; serving as liaison to faculty; serving as a resource to help troubleshoot business operational issues, process financials and paperwork, assisting with programs, events, and simulations; hosting campus stakeholder meetings to review venture feasibility with legal team; managing administrative aspects of courses; and communicating program and committee status, expectations, and information to appropriate audiences which may include faculty, students, staff, and other stakeholders.

Hires, trains, and supervises student mentors for the EPS 1000 and MOB 1010 foundations courses. Holds regular meetings with mentors, evaluates their performance, and provides appropriate coaching.

Assists in managing the email account(s) for experiential learning. Responds to all inquiries in a timely manner and elevates issues to the Program Manager as needed.

Coordinates and supports the use of KANU platform used in EPS 1000.

Creates and manages calendar scheduling system for various student appointments throughout the year.

Assists with maintenance of technology and social media resources; promotes Experiential opportunities and partnerships with posts on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) as appropriate.

Organizes programs and events related to experiential learning programs.

Assists with regular office hours for student businesses.

Creates and updates resource documents for students and student businesses.

Responsible for managing within budget under the direction of the Program Manager

Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE

Student mentors (2-3/semester)

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOUR WILL NEED

Associate’s Degree

A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a business or educational environment.

Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.

Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work sensitively with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, and faculty.

Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, learning management systems, and scheduling software.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to take initiative and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, building working relationships across various departments and stakeholders

Ability to understand and value the importance of diversity of all kinds, with demonstrated commitment to inclusive and collaborative behavior

Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support Entrepreneurial Thought & Action (ET&A); take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.

Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Some early mornings and/or evenings and occasional weekends.

This position is onsite, on our Wellesley campus. Hybrid work schedule with one day remote per week and increased remote flexibility based on time of year and position/program needs

ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE

Experience working with learning management systems and databases is desirable.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

This is a non-exempt position with the following pay range: $30-$33.33 per hour. This position includes paid sick leave where required by law. Eligibility, accrual, and usage will follow applicable state and local regulations.
