Summary of Position:

The Program Coordinator assists the Club Director in the planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of quality and developmentally appropriate programs, activities, services, and special events for members. This position oversees the program and staff in the absence of the Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist in the implementation and ongoing evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs and activities.

· Provide supervision and discipline of members.

· participating in program sessions.

· Assists in the management of the teen programming and extended hours.

· Work with program partners to provide additional programming opportunities to the club.

· Assist in managing membership information, camp registration and other individual paperwork required by the club.

· Assist the Director in developing family engagement opportunities throughout the school year with both events and the parent council.

· Lead and/or participate in collaborative programs and events.

· Assessing our impact is critical to our work. All staff is expected to participate in various evaluation efforts throughout each program year, including the annual member survey.

· Secure and maintain materials, equipment and other resources belonging to the program area(s). Maintain cleanliness of program area(s).

· Assist in the orientation, training and supervision of staff, junior staff and volunteers.

· Participate in individual and group supervision sessions.

· Other related duties as specified by the Club Director.

Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Work Demands):

· Associates degree preferred in the human services/youth development field. High School Diploma or

GED required.

· Previous experience providing classes/programs/activities for youth; curriculum development experience.

· Knowledge of youth development principles.

· Previous supervisory experience preferred.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

· Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· MS Office and web competency preferred.

· Valid driver’s license preferred.

Job Type: Part-Time | Monday - Friday + flexible on Saturdays for events and programming | 3pm - 8pm
