Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to support a long‑term joint venture initiative. This role involves managing or assisting in the management of complex projects within a matrixed team environment. The Project Manager will provide leadership, direction, and coordination across all project phases—initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing—to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective delivery while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
Pay rate is $50/hour on w2 range.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities.
- Develop, review, and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, tools, and staffing needs.
- Communicate project details and status updates through reports and planning meetings.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Provide guidance to improve design, systems, procedures, schedules, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure timely and effective execution of project work activities.
- Develop and manage procurement plans and contracts for external resources.
- Conduct or support project closeout activities, including performance analysis.
- Adhere to project management organizational standards and governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, or a related field with 3 years of qualified experience, OR
- Associate’s degree in the same disciplines with 5 years of qualified experience.
Experience: Qualified experience includes:
- Utility and major construction project management
- Outage management
- Business administration
- Project estimating, controls, and engineering Note: Experience in IT or Telecom does not qualify for this role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of P6
- Understanding of PMBOK principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for multi‑level collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Work Environment
- Full‑time, 40 hours per week
- On‑site in Roanoke, VA
- Valid driver’s license required
- Travel up to 25% (day trips and occasional overnight travel to sites in WV, VA, and MD)
